Introducing a new way to work with scenarios and media files

In discussing with our clients and partners the way Warp Studio works, we have learned a lot about interaction with scenarios and media files. We have improved and tested a new way to work with scenarios and media files and we would like to explain it to you now.

Easier organizing of scenarios

Our clients are developing more and more training scenarios in Warp Studio. Although we have always received good feedback about the scenarios section of Warp Studio, we knew we had to improve to accommodate for interacting with many scenarios.

The new design has a wide setup to fully leverage the full width of your browser. We have added a switch to change between a grid and table view. Sorting and filtering are available in both views. And we have added a powerful search.

Changes to publishing

We have made two significant changes to how scenarios are being published. First of all, we removed the ‘Modified’ label and replaced it with an ‘Unpublished changes’ label that is only shown when changes are made that have an effect on trainees. Changes like a new title, a new video, a different answer, etc.

The other significant change is a workflow optimization for creating scenarios. Before a scenario can be played by trainees, you would first like to test. Therefore we have introduced a ‘Test’ feature. Instead of publishing, you can now test the scenario and give access to one or more members of your organization. Even type a short message where members need to pay attention to when testing your scenario. Only after it is fully done, it can be published.

Easier organizing of media files

As well as the scenarios section, the media files section had a similar make-over. The new design has a wide setup to fully leverage the full width of your browser. We have added a switch to change between a grid and table view. Sorting and filtering are available in both views. And we have added a powerful search.

But there is more. Uploading is easier than ever. Simply drag and drop the file anywhere on the screen and upload starts immediately. You can also simply upload multiple files at once.

Next to uploading, we have improved the modal that shows a specific video file and added the option to view a video full-screen. In the modal, you can also easily navigate to the previous or next media file.

The last major change is linking media files directly to scenes from the media section. Click on a file and simply connect to a scene. If a scene already has a video linked, it will be changed by the new one.
