Bring your 360° scenes to life with visual tooltips

We got a lot of complements following the launch of the Media Panel. Unsurprisingly, immersive learning creators love adding 2D videos or images to their scenarios. But one question always comes up. “Can we place 2D images or videos directly in a 360° scene as well?”

Today the answer is yes. You can now attach your own 2D videos or images "to any element with a tooltip" or "to the tooltip of an element in the flow editor," making your scenarios richer, more visual and more engaging for your trainees and learners.

Why add 2D Media Files to Tooltips?

Adding 2D videos or images to tooltips brings a whole new level of visual content to your scenarios. Imagine the following situations:

• Clarify what you’re seeing. Add a 2D image to zoom in on a safety label, show a close-up diagram of machinery, or display an overhead map without leaving the scene.
• Reveal what’s next. Offer a quick preview of what hides behind a door or the following scene before learners commit to the jump.
• Guide interactive questions. Pair multiple-choice options with an image or short demo clip to steer learners toward the right decision.

Tooltips work with almost every element in the Flow Editor—and you can still drop a standalone tooltip anywhere you wish.

How it works

Visual tooltips are fully integrated into the Flow Editor, allowing you to:

• Select or add an element in the Flow Editor to show a new Media button in the right-hand sidebar
• Link a 2D video or image file to any tooltip or label
• Instantly preview how the tooltip looks in the video editor.
• Choose between normal or wide layouts; your media scales automatically.
