Juice Immersive is an award-winning XR specialist, positioning themselves as "storytellers, problem solvers, and visionaries" in the enterprise space. Since 2017, their mission has been to “utilise immersive technology to solve big challenges and deliver real impact.” To achieve this, they partnered with Warp VR to ensure their high-fidelity 360° content could deliver measurable, scenario-based decision-making at scale.
Juice Immersive first engaged with Warp VR during a project that sought to provide an alternative pathway to acquiring work experience for young people with special educational needs, known as SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) in the UK. The goal of Project Explore with Liverpool City Region Combined Authority, was to shoot 360 VR work experiences in real-world businesses and then bring those experiences into the school classroom for use by those SEND students with social barriers to physical work experience placements
For many young people with SEND, gaining hands-on work experience is a significant barrier to future employment. Traditional placements can be difficult to arrange, may not always be inclusive, and often come with logistical or support challenges.
The goal was for VR to bridge many of these gaps and allow for a smoother transition into the workforce. Juice Immersive needed a tool that would make it easy to share and distribute their content to everyone who would be using the scenario.
While this was the first time Juice Immersive was involved in social or societal impact projects in partnership with Warp VR, it wouldn’t be the last. In fact, that’s where the majority of their projects with Warp VR have been aimed.
Since their first project, Juice Immersive has been involved in a variety of training scenarios that focus on broad social impact, with the goal of making the UK a safer and more inclusive society. Each project touches on such an important issue, that it's difficult to say which is the most impactful!
CarerVR is a social care training application that Juice Immersive developed with Vere Experiences and NHS Wales (National Health Service Wales). This project aimed to train professional and unpaid carers in the correct techniques for assisting individuals with mobility and using care equipment, utilizing Juice Immersive's EmbodyCam® for a first-person perspective to enhance the sense of practical application.
It’s worth drawing some special attention to the unpaid workers. If they are unpaid, they likely have little to no access to training, or may not even be aware of the difficulties that come with mobility assistance and care equipment. According to CarersUK, there are approximately 5.8 million unpaid care workers in the UK. While this number is actually slightly lower than in recent memory, the number is still significant, and each requires training.
"We’re passionate about the future of training, especially in a vital area like social care that impacts everybody in their lifetime.." - Owen Cotterell, Juice Immersive
VR for Safer Communities (Everton in the Community): This project involved creating two hard-hitting interactive VR modules on Knife Crime Prevention and Child Criminal Exploitation (CCE), written and directed by Darren Jeffries, Ludovico Media. Using EmbodyCam®, the user is placed in the role of a peer, forcing them to make high-stakes choices that influence the unfolding scenario.
The trainee takes the place of a friend and observer and throughout the scenario they are met with certain choices. At critical points, the action freezes, and they must make a choice on how to proceed. These types of branching scenarios give a particular immersive edge to the scenario by adding consequences. In addition, the content was funded by and developed with a to ensure the accuracy and real-world relevance of the scenarios. This project has been widely praised and has recently been shortlisted in four categories at the BIMA (British Interactive Media Association) Awards 2025.
"Scores showed that 95% of participants were making the healthier choices throughout the branching narrative. The other 5% were flagged to teachers for additional intervention.” - Owen Cotterell, Juice Immersive
This scenario, like the other, involved a branching storyline which invokes a lot of curiosity in students taking part in the training. “What happens if I get it wrong?” - was a common question, and of course, it’s always important to understand the consequences of the less desirable outcome, which led students to try the scenario multiple times.
Juice Immersive provided Everton in the Community with a fleet of 10 VR headsets, managed using ArborXR, a Mobile Device Management (MDM) platform. As an MDM, ArborXR allows the team to remotely configure and control the devices, deploy updates, and enforce a kiosk-style experience during workshops. This ensures participants can focus on the training without being distracted by device setup or technical issues.
By combining Warp VR’s immersive content with ArborXR’s device management capabilities, the community team could safely and efficiently run VR workshops, supporting their adoption of the technology while maintaining full oversight.
While many of the projects under Juice Immersive’s belt regarding VR are still in early stages, the initial impact is being tracked and measured already.
The Everton in the Community project successfully leveraged the platform’s built-in scoring system to provide crucial intervention data:
Qualitative feedback confirmed the training's effectiveness in generating genuine preparedness:
Juice Immersive noted that the platform’s integration with remote device management partners like Arbor allowed for a streamlined, kiosk-mode experience, simplifying content delivery and reducing barriers to adoption. Furthermore, the Warp VR support team was noted to be "exceptionally responsive and helpful," quickly resolving technical issues and demonstrating commitment to product stability.
Juice Immersive is making waves when it comes to VR and social impact across the UK. From their current rail industry project EMBODY - Immersive VR Training to Tackle Violence and Intimidation Against Women and Girls on the UK Rail Network - to knife crime and criminal exploitation prevention in communities, they’re only just getting started in making their mark on VR for social impact.
